misleading music

I am a geek, and as such, I crave things that are out of the ordinary, or different, or puzzling.

While I am sometimes not a fan of being misled, the way some songs start indicate they begin on a different beat of the bar. It is fairly easy to pick up when they begin on the 4th crotchet or 7th quaver (see You Really Got Me), but when they throw different ones in there, you can lose count and cease headbanging for a more appropriate section of the song.
