So, who are you?
The name’s Ben Forbes.

Well, yes, I got that bit.
I’m 18, I write dodgy songs on my blue acoustic guitar.

What else do you use?
For synth things and drums, I’ve got some cool programs, but I’m not very good with using them. My shiniest one is Cubase Essentials 5. To record, I have the world’s cutest tripod, a Shure SM58 and a Samson Q1U microphone (I got mine for about £20 from eBay). I also have a Line6 Pod Studio UX2 for guitar and vocal production, and an M-Audio KeyStudio 49i keyboard for… well, what else do you do with a keyboard?

Yes, I’m on demand at Glastonbury, Reading and SXSW this year.

I sure do!

Maybe you could write a song about two nerds who have fallen for each other… or a song about an inflatable… no… a mannequin that the singer has fallen in love with! Or… or… a time when robots have killed all human life in the world!
